He is the founder and Chief Bariatric Surgeon at Aastha Bariatrics, which is a Centre
of Excellence (COE) in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, amongst the 2 centres in
Mumbai and 10 in India to get this recognition. In his career as a Bariatric Surgeon
spanning over 2 decades, he has operated thousands of Obese patients and is the
highest volume centre in Mumbai and amongst the top 5 Bariatric Surgeons in the
country.
Dr Manish Motwani is also a Senior Bariatric Surgeon (Weight Loss Surgeon) at
Breach Candy Hospital and owns a 50 bedded Speciality Laparoscopic Hospital,
Aastha Health Care
He has acquired various Fellowships and advanced training in Bariatric Surgery
from every renowned centre across the globe including:

with Ethicon, Medtronics and Lotus India
Has been a National and International faculty at various seminars, conferences and
workshops all over the world
He is the Executive Council Member OSSI (National Governing body for Metabolic
and Bariatric Surgeons in India) and National Advisory Council for National
Conference of OSSI. Has published scientific papers and articles in various
International and National journals and been interviewed on National News channels
close to 100 times in the past two decades.
Joined Rotary as a Charter member of Rotary Club of Mulund Hill View in 2001
and was President in 2007-08
He has been at the helm of almost all Avenues including and not limited to
Membership/ Rotary Foundation/ Community Service Medical/ Non-Medical/
Youth/ Public Relations/ Publications and all administrative positions including AG/
DS/ Chief Coordinator AKS/ Chief Coordinator District 3141 in his Rotary journey,
to be finally elected as the District Governor for Rotary 3141 for the year 2025-26
He introduced the concept of E-learning and E-administration in our District way
back in 2014-15.
He has published 3 Rotary books, latest being Brush up ur Rotary knowledge,
which was released in 2022-23.
As a New Club Advisor, he has formed 3 clubs, RC Mumbai SOBO, RC Mumbai
Greens and RC Medical Crew and has personally sponsored more than 45
members to Rotary, in District 3141, India and abroad
He has produced and coordinated talk shows promoting Rotarians all across the
district – VizBiz talks in 20-21 and AlphaBytes in 22-23
He has been the Convener for almost all District fellowship events, training
seminars, DG Installation, District Conference and Awards nights in his Rotary
career spanning 25yrs.
He has been awarded the ‘FIVE AVENUES OF SERVICE’ citation and the ‘CLUB
BUILDER AWARD’
His partner Dr Mahek Motwani is an Aesthetic Gynecologist and a Cosmetologist
who runs her brand The Pinnk Door – Centre for Cosmetology across Mumbai.
She is also a Past President from Rotary Club of Mulund Hill View. They are
blessed with a beautiful daughter Tanya, who is following the path of her parents
and pursuing Medical studies
